And remember Our servant Ayyub, when he called upon his Lord: The Shaitan has afflicted me with toil and torment. 41 Stamp the ground with thy foot, yonder is water to wash in, cool, and water to drink. 42 And We gave to him his family, and the like of them with them, as a mercy from us, and a reminder unto men possessed of minds; 43 We told him, "Take a handful of straw. Strike your wife with it to fulfill your oath." We found him to be patient. What an excellent servant he was. He was certainly most repenting. 44 (Muhammad), recall Our servants Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, all of whom possessed virtuous hands and clear visions. 45 Verily, We did choose them by granting them (a good thing, i.e.) the remembrance of the home [in the Hereafter and they used to make the people remember it, and also they used to invite the people to obey Allah and to do good deeds for the Hereafter]. 46 And they are with Us, verily, of the chosen and the best! 47 And remember Ismail and Al-Yasha and Zulkifl; and they were all of the best. 48 This is a commemoration. Surely for those who take heed for themselves is an excellent place of return -- 49 Gardens of Eden with gates open wide to them, 50 Where they will take their ease, calling for fruits in plenty, and for wine, 51 ۞ and with them maidens restraining their glances of equal age. 52 'This is what you were promised for the Day of Reckoning; 53 Indeed this is Our sustenance, which will never end. 54 All this [for the righteous]: but, verily, the most evil of all goals awaits those who are wont to transgress the bounds of what is right: 55 Hell, wherein they roast: a wretched couch. 56 This - so let them taste it - is scalding water and [foul] purulence. 57 And other (punishment) of the same kind-- of various sorts. 58 [And they will say to one another: "Do you see] this crowd of people who rushed headlong [into sin] with you? No welcome to them! Verily, they [too] shall have to endure the fire!" 59 They shall say: Nay! you-- no welcome to you: you did proffer it to us, so evil is the resting-place. 60 They will say, "Our Lord, whoever brought this upon us - increase for him double punishment in the Fire." 61 They will say to one another: “But why do we not see those whom we considered him among the wicked? 62 Is it [because] we took them in ridicule, or has [our] vision turned away from them?" 63 Indeed this is really true – the people of the hell quarrelling among themselves. 64
