The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those that pluck out vehemently 1 By the meteors rushing, 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 By the angels hastening, 4 Then those who regulate the affair. 5 On the day when the first trumpet sound blasts 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 Hearts that Day will be in agitation; 8 Cast down will be (their owners') eyes. 9 They say: “Shall we indeed be restored to life, 10 even after we have turned into decayed bones?" 11 They said, “So this return is an obvious loss!” 12 It will only be a single blast, 13 When, behold, they find themselves over the earth alive after their death, 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 When his Lord called upon him in the holy valley, twice, 16 and directed him: “Go to Pharaoh, he has rebelled, 17 Then say: Have you (a desire) to purify yourself: 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 So Moosa showed him a magnificent sign. 20 But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. 21 and then he turned back to have recourse to his craftiness, 22 Then he gathered (men) and called out. 23 and said, "I am your Lord All-Highest!" 24 you pay attention 25 Lo! herein is indeed a lesson for him who feareth. 26
