The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers; 1 Who are humble in their prayers, 2 And who do not incline towards indecent matters. 3 Who are active in deeds of charity; 4 And who guard their modesty - 5 Except with those joined to them in the marriage bond, or (the captives) whom their right hands possess,- for (in their case) they are free from blame, 6 As for those who seek beyond that, they are transgressors" 7 And those who keep proper regard for their trusts and their pledges. 8 And they who carefully maintain their prayers - 9 Such are the inheritors 10 that will inherit the paradise; [and] therein shall they abide. 11 We created man out of the extract of clay, 12 then We made him into a drop of life-germ, then We placed it in a safe depository, 13 Then We fashioned the sperm into an embryo, then fashioned the embryo into a shapeless lump of flesh; then from the lump of flesh We fashioned bones, then clothed the bones with flesh. Thus We formed him into a new creation. So blessed be God the best of Creators. 14 And then, behold! after all this, you are destined to die; 15 then on the Day of Resurrection you shall surely be raised up. 16 And We have created above you seven paths, and We are never unmindful of creation. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 Then We brought forth for you therewith gardens of date-palm and vines; for you therein are fruits many, and thereof ye eat. 19 Also, a tree which grows on the Tor of Sinai and gives oil and relish for its eaters. 20 And indeed in the cattle is a lesson for you; We give you to drink what is in their bellies, and there are many benefits for you in them, and in them is your food. 21 And you are carried on them and on the ship. 22
