Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
The craving for ever-greater worldly gains and to excel others in that regard keeps you occupied 1 Until you confronted the graves. 2 But nay, ye soon shall know (the reality). 3 Again, ye soon shall know! 4 No indeed; did you know with the knowledge of certainty, 5 Ye shall certainly see Hell-Fire! 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the eye of certainty 7 Then on that day you will surely be asked about the verity of pleasures. 8
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
