The Bee (Al-nahl)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The decree of God is at hand, so do not seek to hasten it. Holy is He, and exalted far above what they associate with Him. 1 He sends down the angels with the Spirit (Gabriel) by His command to those of His worshipers whom He chooses, (saying:) 'Warn, there is no god except Me, therefore fear Me' 2 He created the heavens and the earth with Truth. Exalted is He above whatever they associate with Allah in His Divinity. 3 He created man of a sperm-drop; and, behold, he is a manifest adversary. 4 He created cattle which provide you with clothes, food, and other benefits. 5 How beautiful you find them when you bring them home and when you drive them out to graze. 6 They carry your loads to places which you could otherwise not reach without great hardship, surely, your Lord is compassionate and merciful, 7 And horses, and mules, and asses, for you to ride, and as an adornment; and He creates what you know not. 8 The straight way leads to God and there are ways which deviate from the right course. If He so wished, He would guide you all. 9
