The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 who in their prayers are humble 2 And they who turn away from ill speech 3 who give charity, 4 who strictly guard their private parts 5 except with their spouses and slave-girls. The practice of carnal relations is lawful with them. 6 whereas such as seek to go beyond that [limit] are truly transgressors; 7 And those who keep proper regard for their trusts and their pledges. 8 and those who observe their prayers. 9 Such are the inheritors 10 Those who will get the inheritance of Paradise; they will abide in it forever. 11 Man We did create from a quintessence (of clay); 12 Thereafter We made him of a sperm in a receptacle safe. 13 then We created of the drop a clot then We created of the clot a tissue then We created of the tissue bones then We garmented the bones in flesh; thereafter We produced him as another creature. So blessed be God, the fairest of creators! 14 After that you shall surely die, 15 Then you will be raised up again on the Resurrection Day. 16 And We have created above you seven paths, and We are never unmindful of creation. 17 And We sent down from the heaven water in measure, and We caused it to settle in the earth; and verily to take it away We are Able. 18 And by means of this [water] We bring forth for you gardens of date-palms and vines, wherein you have fruit abundant and whereof you eat, 19 And [We brought forth] a tree issuing from Mount Sinai which produces oil and food for those who eat. 20 And surely in the cattle there is a lesson for you; We give you to drink of what is in their bellies, and many uses there are in them for you, and of them you eat; 21 and by them - as by the ships [over the sea] - you are borne [overland]. 22
