In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Alif Lam Mim Sad. 1 A Book revealed unto thee,- So let thy heart be oppressed no more by any difficulty on that account,- that with it thou mightest warn (the erring) and teach the Believers). 2 Follow what has been revealed to you by your Lord, and do not follow any other lord apart from Him. Yet little do you care to remember. 3 How many cities have We destroyed! Our wrath struck their people at night or during their midday siesta. 4 And their declaration when Our punishment came to them was only that they said, "Indeed, we were wrongdoers!" 5 (On the Day of Reckoning) We shall question the people to whom We had sent Our apostles, (if they followed their teachings), and will question the apostles. 6 And verily, We shall recount their whole story with knowledge, for We were never absent (at any time or place). 7 And the weighing will be just on that Day. Then those whose (deeds) are heavier in the balance will find fulfilment, 8 And as for those whose scale is light: those are they who lose their souls because they used to wrong Our revelations. 9 And assuredly We established you in the earth and appointed for you livelihoods therein; yet little thanks ye return. 10

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
