The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 (It is a nightly radiant star). 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 he has been created out of a seminal fluid 6 which comes out of the loins and ribs. 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 on the Day when consciences are examined, 9 (Man) will have no power, and no helper. 10 By the sky which returns [rain] 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 Most surely it is a decisive word, 13 and is not to be taken lightly. 14 Indeed the disbelievers carry out their evil schemes. 15 And I secretly plan. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
God the Almighty always says the truth.
