Do you not see that We have set the devils against the infidels to rouse and instigate them? 83 Therefore, do not hasten (in seeking a scourge against them). We are counting their days. 84 The day on which We will gather those who guard (against evil) to the Beneficent Allah to receive honors 85 and drive those who were lost in sin unto hell as a thirsty herd is driven to a well 86 On that Day none will have the power to intercede for them except those who received a sanction from the Most Compassionate Lord. 87 And they say: "The Most Beneficent (Allah) has begotten a son (or offspring or children) [as the Jews say: 'Uzair (Ezra) is the son of Allah, and the Christians say that He has begotten a son ['Iesa (Christ)], and the pagan Arabs say that He has begotten daughters (angels, etc.)]." 88 Assuredly ye utter a disastrous thing 89 Thereby the heavens are nearly torn and the earth split asunder, and mountains fall crashing down 90 That they ascribe a son (or offspring or children) to the Most Beneficent (Allah). 91 For it is not consonant with the majesty of (Allah) Most Gracious that He should beget a son. 92 There is no one in the heavens and the earth but will come to the Beneficent Allah as a servant. 93 He has counted and enumerated them one by one. 94 And all of them are coming to Him on the Day of Resurrection alone. 95 Those who believe and do righteous deeds, the Merciful will assign for them love. 96 So We have made it easy in thine tongue in order that thou mayest thereby give glad tidings unto the Godfearing and warn thereby a people contentious. 97 And how many a generation have We destroyed before them! Do you see any one of them or hear a sound of them? 98
