Al-Hijjr 4 of 6
Surely those who guard (against evil) shall be in the midst of gardens and fountains: 45 (Their greeting will be): "Enter ye here in peace and security." 46 And We will remove whatever is in their breasts of resentment, [so they will be] brothers, on thrones facing each other. 47 Toil cometh not unto them there, nor will they be expelled from thence. 48 ۞ Announce to My creatures that I am indeed forgiving and kind, 49 and that My punishment is a painful one. 50 And inform them about the guests of Abraham, 51 when they came to him they greeted him with: "Peace." He said,"We feel afraid of you." 52 They said: be not afraid; verily we bear thou the glad tidings of a boy knowing. 53 He said, "Have you given me good tidings although old age has come upon me? Then of what [wonder] do you inform?" 54 "We have given you the happy tidings of a truth," they replied. "So do not be one of those who despair." 55 He said, 'And who despairs of the mercy of his Lord, excepting those that are astray?' 56 Then he asked, "What then is your business, O messengers?" 57 They said: "We have been sent to a people (deep) in sin, 58 (All) save the family of Lot. Them we shall deliver every one, 59 but his wife. We decreed that she should be amongst those who remain behind. 60

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
