We have created the human being out of pure mud-moulded clay 26 and before him We created the jinn from smokeless fire. 27 When your Lord said to the angels, "I will create the human being out of pure mud-moulded clay. 28 When I have shaped him and ran My created soul in him fall down prostrating towards him'. 29 So, the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together. 30 except Iblis who refused to join with the others in prostration. 31 [Allah] said, O Iblees, what is [the matter] with you that you are not with those who prostrate?" 32 He answered, “It does not befit me to prostrate myself to a human whom You have created from sounding clay made out of black smelly mud.” 33 [Allah] said, "Then get out of it, for indeed, you are expelled. 34 and the curse shall be on you till the Day of Judgement!" 35 He said: My Lord! then respite me till the time when they are raised. 36 "You are among the reprieved," (said the Lord), 37 Until the Day of the time well-known." 38 (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! because Thou hast put me in the wrong, I will make (wrong) fair-seeming to them on the earth, and I will put them all in the wrong,- 39 Except Thy servants from among them, the devoted ones. 40 [Allah] said, "This is a path [of return] to Me [that is] straight. 41 verily, thou shalt have no power over My creatures - unless it be such as are [already] lost in grievous error and follow thee [of their own will]: 42 Hell is the promised place for them all. 43 Seven gates it has, and unto each gate a set portion of them belongs.' 44
