Moses said, "My Lord! open up my heart, 25 and ease my task for me. 26 And loose a knot from my tongue. 27 "So they may understand what I say: 28 "And give me a Minister from my family, 29 "Harun (Aaron), my brother; 30 Increase through him my strength 31 and let him share my task, 32 So shall we glorify Thee, 33 And much remember Thee. 34 Indeed, You are of us ever Seeing." 35 (Allah) said: "Granted is thy prayer, O Moses!" 36 Already another time We favoured thee, 37 "Behold! We sent to thy mother, by inspiration, the message: 38 "'Put him into a chest, then cast it into the river. The river will cast it on to the bank, and there he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and his.' I showered My love on you so that you might be reared under My watchful eye. 39 “When your sister went, then said, ‘Shall I show you the people who may nurse him?’ And We brought you back to your mother in order to soothe her eyes and that she may not grieve; and you killed a man, so We freed you from sorrow, and tested you to the maximum; you therefore stayed for several years among the people of Madyan; then you came (here) at an appointed time, O Moosa.” 40 And I produced you for Myself. 41 “You and your brother, both go with My signs, and do not slacken in My remembrance.” 42 go forth, both of you, unto Pharaoh: for, verily, he has transgressed all bounds of equity! 43 Speak to him gently. He may possibly take heed or may come to have fear." 44 They said: "Our Lord! Verily! We fear lest he should hasten to punish us or lest he should transgress (all bounds against us)." 45 He said: Fear not, surely I am with you both: I do hear and see. 46 So go you both to Pharaoh, and say, "We are the Messengers of thy Lord, so send forth with us the Children of Israel and chastise them not; we have brought thee a sign from thy Lord; and peace be upon him who follows the guidance! 47 Indeed, it has been revealed to us that the punishment will be upon whoever denies and turns away.' " 48 [Pharaoh] said, "So who is the Lord of you two, O Moses?" 49 He said, "Our Lord is He who gave each thing its form and then guided [it]." 50 He (Pharaoh) asked: 'How was it then, with the former generations' 51 He (Moses) answered: 'The knowledge of them is in a Book with My Lord. My Lord neither goes astray, nor forgets. 52 "He Who has, made for you the earth like a carpet spread out; has enabled you to go about therein by roads (and channels); and has sent down water from the sky." With it have We produced diverse pairs of plants each separate from the others. 53 (Saying): Eat ye and feed your cattle. Lo! herein verily are portents for men of thought. 54
