Abraham was, certainly, an obedient and upright person. He was not a pagan. 120 [He was] grateful for His favors. Allah chose him and guided him to a straight path. 121 And We gave him goodness in this world; and indeed in the Hereafter he is worthy of proximity. 122 So We have taught thee the inspired (Message), "Follow the ways of Abraham the True in Faith, and he joined not gods with Allah." 123 As for the Sabbath, it was imposed on those who had differed about it; and your Lord will tell them on the Day of Resurrection what it was they had differed about. 124 Call to the Path of your Lord with wisdom and fine admonition. Dispute with them in the best manner. Your Lord is well aware of those who have gone astray from His Path and He is well aware of those who are guided. 125 And if you punish [an enemy, O believers], punish with an equivalent of that with which you were harmed. But if you are patient - it is better for those who are patient. 126 And do thou be patient, for thy patience is but from Allah; nor grieve over them: and distress not thyself because of their plots. 127 Indeed, Allah is with those who fear Him and those who are doers of good. 128
