Al-Duhaa
The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER the bright morning hours, 1 and by the calm of night, 2 Your Lord has not forsaken you nor does He dislike you! 3 And the Hereafter is indeed better unto thee than the life present. 4 Thy Lord shall give thee, and thou shalt be satisfied. 5 Did He not find you an orphan and give you shelter? 6 Did He not find thee erring, and guide thee? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness, 9 and chide not him who asks, 10 And as for the favor of your Lord, do announce (it). 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
