I shall receive my reward from the Lord of the Universe. 127 "Do you build useless monuments on every mountain 128 And take for yourselves palaces and fortresses that you might abide eternally? 129 And when ye seize, ye seize like unto tyrants. 130 "Now fear Allah, and obey me. 131 "And keep your duty to Him, fear Him Who has aided you with all (good things) that you know. 132 Provided you with grazing livestock and children 133 gardens, and springs. 134 indeed, I fear for you the torment of an awful day." 135 They said: It is the same to us whether you admonish or are not one of the admonishers 136 "This is no other than a customary device of the ancients, 137 And we shall not be doomed. 138 So they gave him the lie, then We destroyed them.
