۞ O mankind, you are those in need of Allah, while Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy. 15 If He wills, He can do away with you and bring forth a new creation. 16 This is well within the power of God. 17 And a burdened soul cannot bear the burden of another and if one weighed down by burden should cry for (another to carry) its burden, not aught of it shall be carried, even though he be near of kin. You warn only those who fear their Lord in secret and keep up prayer; and whoever purifies himself, he purifies himself only for (the good of) his own soul; and to Allah is the eventual coming. 18 Not equal are the blind and the seeing, 19 Nor is darkness (tantamount to) light; 20 Nor the shade and the heat, 21 And not equal are the living and the dead. Indeed, Allah causes to hear whom He wills, but you cannot make hear those in the graves. 22 You (Prophet Muhammad) are but a warner. 23 And O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), We have indeed sent you with the Truth, giving glad tidings and heralding warnings; and there was a Herald of Warning in every group. 24 And if they deny you - then already have those before them denied. Their messengers came to them with clear proofs and written ordinances and with the enlightening Scripture. 25 Then I took hold of those who disbelieved, and how terrible was My denial (punishment)! 26
