Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa) before The Afternoon (Al-'Asr)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ HAVE WE NOT opened up your breast 1 And eased thee of the burden 2 that weighed down your back? 3 have We not given you high renown? 4 For indeed, with hardship [will be] ease. 5 Verily, with the hardship, there is relief (i.e. there is one hardship with two reliefs, so one hardship cannot overcome two reliefs). 6 So when you finish the prayer, strive in supplication. 7 and let your longing be for your Lord (in humility). 8
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
