This surely is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe: 192 Which the trustworthy Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel)] has brought down; 193 into your heart, so that you may be a warner, 194 in clear Arabic speech. 195 Truly, it is in the Books of the ancients. 196 Is it not a Sign to them that the Learned of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? 197 (But such is their adamance) that had We revealed it to one of the non-Arabs and even if he had recited (this clear Arabic discourse) to them 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed. 199 Thus it passes through the hearts of the criminals. 200 they shall not believe in it until they see the painful punishment 201 so that it will come upon them suddenly, while they are unaware, 202 And they will say, "May we be reprieved?" 203 So for Our punishment are they impatient? 204 What do you see? If We gave them enjoyment for years, 205 and thereupon that [chastisement] which they were promised befalls them 206 They would not be availed by the enjoyment with which they were provided. 207 Never a city We destroyed, but it had warners 208 We have never been unjust to anyone. 209 The satans did not bring down this (Clear Book), 210 It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able. 211 Indeed they have been banished from the place of hearing. 212 Therefore do not worship another deity along with Allah, for you will be punished. 213 Warn your tribe and your near kinsmen. 214 And take those believers under your wing who follow you. 215 And if they (thy kinsfolk) disobey thee, say: Lo! I am innocent of what they do. 216 Put your trust in the Almighty, the Most Merciful, 217 Who sees you when you stand up. 218 and observes your movements among those who prostrate themselves. 219 He is All-Hearing, All-Knowing. 220 Shall I inform you (of him) upon whom the Shaitans descend? 221 They descend on every forgerer steeped in sin, 222 They give ear, but most of them are liars. 223 As for poets, the erring follow them. 224 Have you not seen that they wander distract in every valley, 225 And how they say that which they do not? 226 Except those who believe, and do good works and remember Allah in abundance and became victorious after they had been wronged. The wrongdoers will surely know which turn they will be returning to (Hell). 227
