Elucidated (Fussilat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
HA MIM. 1 THE BESTOWAL from on high [of this revelation] issues from the Most Gracious, the Dispenser of Grace: 2 The verses of this Book have been fully expounded. It is a reading in the Arabic language for the people of knowledge. 3 proclaiming good news and a warning. Yet most of them turn away and so do not listen. 4 And they say, "Our hearts are encased against that to which you call us, and there is a heaviness in our ears, and there is a barrier between us, so do as you will and so shall we." 5 Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “Physically I am a human like you – I receive the divine revelation that your God is only One God, therefore be upright towards Him and seek forgiveness from Him”; and woe is to the polytheists. – 6 Those who practise not regular Charity, and who even deny the Hereafter. 7 For those who believe and do good works is an enduring wage' 8
