Therefore remind! by thy Lord's blessing thou art not a soothsayer neither possessed. 29 Or do they say [of you], "A poet for whom we await a misfortune of time?" 30 Say: 'Await! I shall be awaiting with you.' 31 Nay! do their understandings bid them this? Or are they an inordinate people? 32 Or do they say: "He (Muhammad SAW) has forged it (this Quran)?" Nay! They believe not! 33 But then, [if they deem it the work of a mere mortal,] let them produce another discourse like it - if what they say be true! 34 Have they not been created from some source, or are they themselves the creators? 35 Created they the heavens and the earth! Aye! they will not be convinced. 36 Or have they the depositories [containing the provision] of your Lord? Or are they the controllers [of them]? 37 Have they a stairway whereby they overhear? Then let their listener bring an authority manifest. 38 Or has He daughters, and they sons? 39 Or is it that [they who reject thy message, O Muhammad, fear lest] thou ask of them a reward, so that they would be burdened with debt [if they should listen to thee]? 40 Or that the Unseen in it their hands, and they write it down? 41 Or, do they desire to outwit? The unbelievers are the outwitted. 42 Or do they have a god apart from God? He is too exalted for what they associate with Him! 43 If they should see a segment falling from the sky, they would say: "It is only a massive cloud." 44 So leave them alone until they encounter that Day of theirs, wherein they shall (perforce) swoon (with terror),- 45 The Day when their guile shall not relieve them a thing, and they shall not be helped. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is another punishment (i.e. the torment in this world and in their graves) before this, but most of them know not. [Tafsir At-Tabari, Vol. 27, Page 36]. 47 And so, await in patience thy Sustainer's judgment, for thou art well within Our sight. And extol thy Sustainer's limitless glory and praise whenever thou risest up, 48 and exalt Him in the night and at the declining of the stars. 49
