So did you observe him who turned away? 33 and grudgingly spends very little for the cause of God? 34 Is with him the knowledge of the unseen so that he sees? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And of Abraham who fulfilled his engagements?- 37 That no bearer of burden shall bear the burden of another- 38 And that for man shall be naught save that wherefor he endeavoureth. 39 and that [the fruit of] his striving shall soon be seen; 40 and that he shall then be fully recompensed, 41 and that the final end is unto thy Lord, 42 And that He it is Who makes (men) laugh and makes (them) weep; 43 and that He it is Who causes death and grants life, 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 From a seed when lodged (in its place); 46 and that it is for Him to grant the second life, 47 and that it is He who gives riches and causes to hoard, 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 It was He who totally destroyed the former 'Ad 50 And Samood, so He spared not 51 And the people of Nuh before; surely they were most unjust and inordinate; 52 And Al-Mu'tafikah He destroyed 53 and covered them with torment. 54 Concerning which then, of the bounties of thy Lord, canst thou dispute? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 The Approaching Day has approached. 57 apart from God none can disclose it. 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 Or do you laugh, and do you not weep 60 while you make merry? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
