The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ The Merciful 1 Hath taught the Qur'an. 2 He has created man: 3 and He taught him speech. 4 The sun and the moon to a reckoning, 5 And the herbs and the trees do obeisance. 6 And the Firmament has He raised high, and He has set up the Balance (of Justice), 7 so that you should not transgress the measure. 8 And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance. 9 And earth -- He set it down for all beings, 10 Wherein are fruit and sheathed palm-trees, 11 And grain covered with husk, and fragrant flowers. 12 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 13 He created man from dry clay like earthen vessels, 14 And the jinns did He create from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 16 He is the Lord of the East and West through all seasons. 17 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 18 He let forth the two seas that meet together, 19 Between them is a barrier which none of them can transgress. 20 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 21 From these seas come forth pearls and coral. 22 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 23 His are the high-sailed vessels in deep ocean like the mountains. 24 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 25

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
