▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ NAY, I call to witness the coming-down in parts [of this Qur'an] 75 (and that is indeed a mighty oath, did you but know it) 76 That (this) is indeed an honourable recital (the Noble Quran). 77 inscribed in a well-guarded Book, 78 Which none shall touch but those who are clean: 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 do you make it your provision to belie it? 82 So why was it not, when the soul reaches up to the throat, – 83 the while you are helplessly watching that he is on the verge of death, 84 We are nearer to him than you, but you do not see 85 So why is it not, that if you are not to be repaid, – 86 why can you not bring it (the soul) back (to life)? 87 If he is among the near 88 there shall be repose and ease, and a Garden of Delight; 89 and if he is of those who are on the Right, 90 (he will be greeted with): 'Peace be upon you, Companion of the Right' 91 And if he is one of the rejecters, the erring ones, 92 He shall have an entertainment of boiling water, 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 Most surely this is a certain truth. 95 So exalt the name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
