The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Cloaked one, 1 arise and warn, 2 And your Lord do magnify, 3 Thy raiment purify, 4 And uncleanness do shun, 5 Give not, thinking to gain greater 6 For the sake of thy Lord, be patient! 7 When the Trumpet is sounded, 8 Truly, that Day will be a Hard Day. 9 for the unbelievers not easy. 10 Leave Me (to deal) with him whom I created lonely, 11 And then granted him resources in abundance. 12 And sons to be by his side!- 13 And spread [everything] before him, easing [his life]. 14 and yet, he greedily desires that I give him even more! 15 Nay! For lo! he hath been stubborn to Our revelations. 16 I shall force him to endure a painful uphill climb! 17 He planned and plotted. 18 So may he be destroyed [for] how he deliberated. 19 And once more let him be cursed, how he plotted! 20 May he be condemned again for his schemes! He looked around, 21 Then frowned he and scowled. 22 Then he turned away, and was haughty. 23 Then he said: naught is this but magic from of old; 24 "This is nothing but the word of a mortal!" 25 I will surely roast him in the Scorching. 26 And what have you understood, what hell is! 27 It leaves naught nor does it spare aught. 28 Blackening the skins. 29 Above it are nineteen. 30 We have appointed none but angels to guard the Fire, and made their number only as a trial for the unbelievers, so that those to whom the Book was given are certain and those who believe increase in belief. And that those who were given the Book, and those who believe will not be in doubt. And that those in whose hearts there is a sickness, together with the unbelievers, may say: 'What did Allah intend by this as an example' As such, Allah leaves in error whom He will and He guides whomsoever He will. None knows the hosts of your Lord except He. This is no more than a Reminder to humans. 31
