Vain is it that you do: 128 and erect huge palaces as though you will live for ever, 129 “And when you apprehend someone, you seize him mercilessly?” 130 So be fearful of God and follow me. 131 Keep your duty toward Him Who hath aided you with (the good things) that ye know, 132 He has given you cattle, children, 133 And gardens and springs. 134 "Truly I fear for you the Penalty of a Great Day." 135 They said: "It is the same to us if you warn us or do not warn. 136 This is but a custom of the ancients. 137 And we shall not be doomed. 138 Eventually they gave the lie to him and We destroyed them.
