The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the angels who violently tear-out the souls of the disbelievers from their bodies, 1 by the drawers (the angels of death), gently drawing (the souls of the believers), 2 and by those that speedily glide along (the cosmos), 3 And those who race each other in a race 4 Then arrange to do (the Commands of their Lord), 5 A Day shall come whereon the quaking will quake, 6 The second blowing of the Trumpet follows it (and everybody will be raised up), 7 Many a heart will flutter on that day! 8 Their looks will be downcast. 9 The disbelievers say, “Will we really return to our former state?” 10 even though we may have become [a heap of] crumbling bones?" 11 They say: "It would, in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 But it will be only a single blow, 13 And they will wake up suddenly. 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 When his Lord called to him in Tuwa's holy vale? 16 Saying: go thou unto Fir'awn; verily he hath waxen exorbitant. 17 And say to him, "Would you like to reform yourself? 18 Do you want me to guide you to your Lord, so that you should fear Him?'" 19 Moses showed him the great miracle 20 But Pharaoh denied and disobeyed. 21 Then he turned away, deliberating, 22 Then he gathered (men) and called out. 23 And he said: I am your Lord, most high. 24 So Allah seized him (and made him) an example for the after (life) and for the former. 25 Verily in this is an instructive warning for whosoever feareth (Allah). 26
