Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
When the sunlight is rolled up. 1 the stars are made to fade away, 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 And when the camels big with young are abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 And when the seas are filled with flame 6 When the souls are sorted out, (being joined, like with like); 7 when the buried infant shall be asked 8 For what crime she was killed; 9 when the scrolls shall be unrolled, 10 When the world on High is unveiled; 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when the garden is brought nigh, 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 So I swear by the retreating stars - 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 And the Dawn as it breathes away the darkness;- 18 Most surely it is the Word of an honored messenger, 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 Obeyed there [in the heavens] and trustworthy. 21 And your companion is not [at all] mad. 22 he truly beheld him [the angel] on the clear horizon. 23 He is not avid of the Unseen. 24 And it (the Quran) is not the word of the outcast Shaitan (Satan). 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 This is naught else than a reminder unto creation, 27 For the one among you who wishes to become upright. 28 But you cannot will it unless God, the Sustainer of all the worlds, wills [to show you that way]. 29

(5) وقف المجاذبة أو المعانقة حيث يجب الوقف في أي من موضعين قريبين ولكن ليس كلاهما، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة تظهر في أحد الموقعين باحتمال النصف للنصف.
When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
