The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 By those (angels) who gently take out (the souls of the believers); 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 And by those angels who arrange to do the Commands of their Lord, (so verily, you disbelievers will be called to account). 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. (The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment.) 6 And the second followeth it, 7 On that Day some hearts shall tremble (with fright), 8 Their eyes cast down. 9 They say, "What? shall we be brought back to life, 10 What, when we are bones old and wasted?' 11 They say: Then that would be a vain proceeding. 12 But all it will take is a single blast, 13 And lo! they all shall appear on the surface. 14 Did the news of Moosa reach you? 15 When his Lord called him in the holy valley of Tuwa. 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 ‘And I may guide you to your Lord, so that you may fear.’” 19 Then did (Moses) show him the Great Sign. 20 but he denied it as false and disobeyed, 21 and hastily turned away, 22 then, he gathered, proclaimed, 23 Then he said: I am your lord, the most high. 24 you pay attention 25 Truly there is a lesson in this for those who fear (the consequences). 26
