The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what could make thee conceive what that crushing torment will be? 5 (It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) Allah kindled (to a blaze), 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 verily, it will close in upon them 8 in towering columns. 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
