The Shocker (Al-Qaare'ah)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Quraish (Quraish) before Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
THE STARTLING CALAMITY. 1 What is the Clatterer. 2 And what will explain to thee what the (Day) of Noise and Clamour is? 3 [It will occur] on the Day when men will be like moths swarming in confusion, 4 And the mountains shall be as loosened wool. 5 Then as for him whose balance (of good deeds) will be heavy, 6 He shall live a pleasant life. 7 whereas he whose weight is light in the balance 8 his shall be the deep pit for a dwelling. 9 Would that you knew what hawiya his? 10 It is the scorching fire. 11
