Hast thou not turned thy vision to thy Lord?- How He doth prolong the shadow! If He willed, He could make it stationary! then do We make the sun its guide; 45 thereafter We seize it to Ourselves, drawing it gently. 46 And it is He who hath made for you the night a covering, and the sleep repose, and hath made the day a resurrection. 47 It is He who sends the winds as heralds of His mercy and We send down pure water from the sky, 48 so that We might revive a dead land, and give to drink of it, of that We created, cattle and men a many. 49 And certainly We have repeated this to them that they may be mindful, but the greater number of men do not consent to aught except denying. 50 And if We had willed, We could have sent into every city a warner. 51 So obey not the unbelievers, but struggle with them thereby mightily. 52 ۞ It is He Who has let free the two bodies of flowing water: One palatable and sweet, and the other salt and bitter; yet has He made a barrier between them, a partition that is forbidden to be passed. 53 And it is He who hath created man from water, and then made for him kinship by blood and marriage. And thy Lord is ever potent. 54 And yet, some people worship, instead of God, things that can neither benefit them nor harm them: thus, he who denies the truth does indeed turn his back on his Sustainer! 55 Yet We have not sent you but to give good tidings and to warn. 56 Tell them, "I do not ask of you any recompense for this work: I only ask of the one, who will, to adopt the way of his Lord. 57 And rely upon the Ever-Living who does not die, and exalt [Allah] with His praise. And sufficient is He to be, with the sins of His servants, Acquainted - 58 Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six Days, then He mounted the Throne. The Beneficent! Ask anyone informed concerning Him! 59 When it is said to them. "Prostrate yourselves before the Merciful," they retort, "What is the Merciful? Would you have us prostrate ourselves before whomsoever you will?" And this invitation only helps to increase their hatred all the more. ۩ 60
