۞ And put forward to them the example of two men; unto one of them We had given two gardens of grapes, and We had surrounded both with date-palms; and had put between them green crops (cultivated fields etc.). 32 Each of those gardens brought forth its produce, and failed not in the least therein: in the midst of them We caused a river to flow. 33 And he had property (or fruit) and he said to his companion, in the course of mutual talk: I am more than you in wealth and stronger in respect of men." [See Tafsir Qurtubi, Vol. 10, Page 403]. 34 He unjustly entered his garden and said, "I do not think this (property) will ever perish 35 Nor do I believe that the Hour of Resurrection will ever come to pass. And even if I am returned to my Lord, I shall find a better place than this." 36 His companion said to him while disputing with him: Do you disbelieve in Him Who created you from dust, then from a small seed, then He made you a perfect man? 37 But as for me, He, Allah, is my Lord, and I do not associate anyone with my Lord. 38 “And why was it not that you would have said when you entered your garden, ‘Whatever Allah wills we do not have any strength except with the help of Allah’ if you had observed me lesser than you in wealth and children.”? 39 "It may be that my Lord will give me something better than your garden, and will send on it Husban (torment, bolt, etc.) from the sky, then it will be a slippery earth. 40 Or its waters should sink down into the ground so that you are unable to find it. 41 And all his fruit were destroyed, and in the morning he wrung his hands with grief at all he had spent on it, for it had collapsed upon its trellises, and he said: 'Would that I had not associated anyone with my Lord' 42 He had no party to help him against God, nor was he able to defend himself. 43 There the authority is [completely] for Allah, the Truth. He is best in reward and best in outcome. 44
