Commemorate Our Servant Job. Behold he cried to his Lord: "The Evil One has afflicted me with distress and suffering!" 41 'Stamp thy foot! This is a laving-place cool, and a drink.' 42 And We gave him his family and the like of them with them, as a mercy from Us, and as a reminder to those possessed of understanding. 43 and, 'Take in thy hand a bundle of rushes, and strike therewith, and do not fail in thy oath.' Surely We found him a steadfast man. How excellent a servant he was! He was a penitent. 44 AND CALL to mind Our servants Abraham and Isaac and Jacob, [all of them] endowed with inner strength and vision: 45 Surely We purified them by a pure quality, the keeping in mind of the (final) abode. 46 And indeed they are, to Us, among the chosen and outstanding. 47 And remember Ismail and Yasa’a (Elisha) and Zul-Kifl; and they are all excellent. 48 This is a Reminder, and verily, for the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) is a good final return (Paradise), 49 #NAME? 50 Therein they will recline; therein they will call for plenteous fruit and drink. 51 ۞ And with them will be maidens of equal age with modest gaze. 52 This is what you are promised for the Day of Reckoning: 53 Lo! this in truth is Our provision, which will never waste away. 54 This (for the virtuous); but for the transgressors the evil destination, 55 they will burn, in Hell, an evil resting place -- 56 This is so! Then let them taste it, a boiling fluid and dirty wound discharges. 57 And other (punishment) of the same kind-- of various sorts. 58 This is an army plunging in without consideration along with you; no welcome for them, surely they shall enter fire. 59 They shall say: Nay! you-- no welcome to you: you did proffer it to us, so evil is the resting-place. 60 They say: Our Lord! Whoever did prepare this for us, oh, give him double portion of the Fire! 61 And will add: "O what has happened to us that we do not see the men we counted among the wicked. 62 Is it [because] we took them in ridicule, or has [our] vision turned away from them?" 63 Indeed, that is truth - the quarreling of the people of the Fire. 64
