Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

The mutual rivalry for piling up (the good things of this world) diverts you (from the more serious things), 1 until you reach your graves. 2 But you will come to know soon; -- 3 Again, no indeed, you shall soon know. 4 Lo! would that ye knew now with the surety of knowledge! 5 You have indeed to behold Hell; 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 Then, on that Day, you shall be asked about the delight (you indulged in, in this world)! 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
