Has there come to you information about the honored guests of Ibrahim? 24 Behold, they entered his presence, and said: "Peace!" He said, "Peace!" (and thought, "These seem) unusual people." 25 Then he turned quickly to his household, and brought a fatted calf, 26 And placing it before them said: "Won't you eat?" 27 Then he conceived a fear of them (when they ate not). They said: "Fear not." And they gave him glad tidings of an intelligent son, having knowledge (about Allah and His religion of True Monotheism). 28 Thereupon his wife approached [the guests] with a loud cry, and struck her face [in astonishment] and exclaimed: "A barren old woman [like me]!" 29 They said, "Even so has thy Lord spoken: and He is full of Wisdom and Knowledge." 30 ۞ Abraham said: “Envoys (of Allah), what is your errand?” 31 They said, "Indeed, we have been sent to a people of criminals 32 To send down upon them stones of clay, 33 They are transgressors in the presence of your Lord". 34 Then We brought forth such as were therein of the believers. 35 But We found in it only one household of those who had surrendered themselves, 36 And We left therein a sign for those who fear the painful punishment. 37 And in Musa also was a lesson, when We sent him unto Fir'awn with authority manifest. 38 But he turned away with his supporters and said," A magician or a madman." 39 So We took him and his forces, and threw them into the sea; and his was the blame. 40 And in 'Aad [was a sign], when We sent against them the barren wind. 41 It left not aught whereon it came but it made it as matter decayed. 42 And in Thamud, when it was said to them, "Enjoy yourselves for a time." 43 But in their pride they turn away from the commandment of their Lord and the thunderbolt struck them whilst they were looking; 44 They were unable even to stand up or protect themselves. 45 And [We destroyed] the people of Noah before; indeed, they were a people defiantly disobedient. 46
