▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I call the placement of the stars to witness -- 75 And indeed, it is an oath - if you could know - [most] great. 76 That this is indeed the glorious Qur'an 77 [conveyed unto man] in a well-guarded divine writ 78 which none but the pure [of heart] can touch: 79 It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 You live by calling it a lie. 82 Why, then, when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 83 And ye the while (sit) looking on,- 84 and while We are closer to him than you, although you see [Us] not: 85 Then why do you not, if you are not to be recompensed, 86 Do ye not force it back, if ye are truthful? 87 So if he is one of those who are near-stationed (to Allah), 88 there shall be calmness and ease, a Garden of Delight. 89 And if he is of those on the right, – 90 he will be welcomed by the words: “Peace to you” from the People on the Right. 91 And if he is from the deniers, the astray, – 92 its dwelling will be boiling water 93 and will be scorched by the Fire. 94 Surely this is the truth of certainty. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Great One. 96
