The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
O the Cloaked One! (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) 1 Arise and warn! 2 And your Lord (Allah) magnify! 3 Purify your inner self, 4 And all defilement shun! 5 And do not confer favor to acquire more 6 but unto thy Sustainer turn in patience. 7 And when the trumpet is blown, 8 it will be a hard day 9 not an easy day for the unbelievers. 10 Leave Me and him whom I created alone, 11 And then bestowed upon him ample means, 12 and sons that stand in witness. 13 and made all things smooth for him; 14 And yet he desires that I should add more! 15 Never will he receive more. He has been hostile to Our revelations. 16 Soon I shall mount him on Saood, the hill of fire. 17 For he thought and he plotted;- 18 Perish he! How maliciously he devised! 19 Again, may he be cursed how he plotted; 20 Then he looked, 21 Then he frowned and he scowled; 22 Then he turned back and was arrogant 23 Then said he: "This is nothing but magic, derived from of old; 24 Naught is this but the word of Man. 25 Soon I will cast him into hell. 26 - Ah, what will convey unto thee what that burning is! - 27 It neither leaves, nor spares. 28 scorching the flesh; 29 Over it are nineteen (guards). 30 And We have not made the wardens of the fire others than angels, and We have not made their number but as a trial for those who disbelieve, that those who have been given the book may be certain and those who believe may increase in faith, and those who have been given the book and the believers may not doubt, and that those in whose hearts is a disease and the unbelievers may say: What does Allah mean by this parable? Thus does Allah make err whom He pleases, and He guides whom He pleases, and none knows the hosts of your Lord but He Himself; and this is naught but a reminder to the mortals. 31
