Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 for an appointed term? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 GO ON towards that [resurrection] which you were wont to call a lie! 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
