The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who dive and drag, 1 And [by] those who remove with ease 2 And those who glide swimmingly, 3 And then they speed with foremost speed. 4 and by the angels who regulate the affairs, (you will certainly be resurrected). 5 On the day when the trembling one will tremble. (The disbelievers will certainly taste the punishment.) 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 hearts upon that day shall be athrob 8 while eyes will be downcast. 9 They say, "What? shall we be brought back to life, 10 "Even after we are crumbled bones?" 11 They have said, "Such a resurrection will certainly be a great loss". 12 But it shall be only a single cry, 13 and lo, they will all be in the open plain. 14 Has there come to you the story of Musa (Moses)? 15 His Lord called to him in the Sacred Valley of Towa, 16 'Go to Pharaoh; he has waxed insolent. 17 and say: "Will you purify yourself, 18 And I will guide you to your Lord so that you should fear. 19 Moses showed him the great sign, 20 But he rejected (the truth) and disobeyed. 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 and gathered his people and declared: 23 Then he said: I am your lord, the most high. 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
