He Frowned ('Abasa)
42 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Stars (Al-Najm) before Destiny (Al-Qadr)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
۞ He frowned and turned away 1 when the blind man approached him, 2 How canst thou know, whether haply he might be cleansed, 3 Or become reminded so that the reminder should profit him? 4 As for him who regardeth himself self-sufficient 5 you attended to him, 6 though it is not thy concern, if he does not cleanse himself. 7 And as for him who cometh unto thee running, 8 and in awe [of God] 9 Of him you are neglectful and divert your attention to another, 10 Indeed, this [Quran] is an admonition. 11 So whoever wishes may remember it. 12 On honourable pages. 13 Exalted (in dignity), purified, 14 In the hands of scribes 15 Honourable and obedient. 16 May man be slain how ungrateful he is! 17 Of what [stuff] has He created him? 18 From a (sperm) drop He created him and then determined him, 19 and then made the course of life easy for him, 20 Then gave him death, so had him put in the grave. 21 and then, if it be His will, He shall raise him again to life, 22 Nay, but man did not fulfil what Allah had enjoined upon him. 23 Let the human being think about (how We produce) his food. 24 How We pour water in showers 25 And We split the earth in fragments, 26 And We made corn grow, 27 grapes, and fresh fodder, 28 and olive trees and date-palms, 29 And enclosed gardens luxuriant. 30 And fruits and fodder,- 31 an enjoyment for you and your flocks. 32 But when the Shout cometh 33 That Day shall a man flee from his own brother, 34 Mother and father, 35 And his wife and his children, 36 on that Day every man among them will have enough concern of his own -- 37 (Many) faces on that day shall be bright, 38 Laughing, rejoicing. 39 but some faces will be covered with dust 40 Darkness will cover them, 41 Those are the disbelievers, the wicked ones. 42
Almighty Allah's Truth.

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
