The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heaven, holding mansions of the stars, 1 By the Promised Day! 2 by the Witness and the witnessed, 3 Cursed were the companions of the trench 4 by a burning fire 5 As they sat around it 6 to watch what they were doing to the believers, 7 And what did they dislike from the Muslims, except that the Muslims accepted faith in Allah the Most Honourable, the Most Praiseworthy? 8 Who, to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth! And Allah is Witness over everything. 9 Verily, as for those who persecute believing men and believing women, and thereafter do not repent, hell's suffering awaits them: yea, suffering through fire awaits them! 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 Indeed, the seizing of your Lord is severe. 12 Surely it is He who originates, and brings again, 13 and He is the Forgiving and Loving One. 14 – the Lord of the Glorious Throne, 15 Performer of what He desires. 16 Has it come to you the story of the hosts 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 Yet those who deny the truth persist in denial. 19 However, God encompassed their activities. 20 What is revealed to you is certainly a glorious Quran 21 (Preserved) on the guarded tablet. 22
