And remember Our slave Ayub (Job), when he invoked his Lord (saying): "Verily! Shaitan (Satan) has touched me with distress (by losing my health) and torment (by losing my wealth)! 41 (And it was said unto him): Strike the ground with thy foot. This (spring) is a cool bath and a refreshing drink. 42 And We granted him his family and a like [number] with them as mercy from Us and a reminder for those of understanding. 43 and, 'Take in thy hand a bundle of rushes, and strike therewith, and do not fail in thy oath.' Surely We found him a steadfast man. How excellent a servant he was! He was a penitent. 44 Also, remember Our worshipers Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, those of might and vision. 45 We chose them for a special [purpose] -- proclaiming the message of the Hereafter: 46 Indeed with Us they are among the chosen, the excellent. 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha, and Dhu al-Kifl. All were of the best. 48 This is a Reminder, and verily, for the Muttaqun (pious and righteous persons - see V. 2:2) is a good final return (Paradise), 49 Everlasting Gardens – all its gates are open for them. 50 Where they will take their ease, calling for fruits in plenty, and for wine, 51 ۞ And with them are the pure spouses, who do not set gaze upon men except their husbands, of single age. 52 Such is the Promise made, to you for the Day of Account! 53 Verily this is Our provision: there will be no ceasing thereof. 54 All this; but for the insolent awaits an ill resort, 55 Hell, where they will be roasted. An evil place to dwell! 56 This - so let them taste it - is scalding water and [foul] purulence. 57 and other such torments. 58 'This is a troop rushing in with you; there is no Welcome for them; they shall roast in the Fire.' 59 [And] they [who had been seduced] will exclaim: "Nay, but it is you! No welcome to you! It is you who have prepared this for us: and how vile a state to abide in!" 60 They will continue saying, "Lord, double the torment of fire for those who led us into this. 61 And they will add: "How is it that we do not see [here any of the] men whom we were wont to count among the wicked, 62 What, did we take them for a laughing-stock? Or have our eyes swerved away from them?' 63 Surely that is true -- the disputing of the inhabitants of the Fire. 64
