Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Have you heard about the Overwhelming Event? 1 On that Day, there shall be downcast faces, 2 Toiling, weary, 3 Scorched by burning fire, 4 Given to drink of a spring fiercely boiling. 5 they shall have no food but thorns, 6 which gives no strength and neither stills hunger. 7 Faces on that Day shall be delighted, 8 and pleased with the result of their deeds in the past. 9 They will live in an exalted garden 10 wherein they shall hear no vain talk. 11 Within it is a flowing spring. 12 Therein are thrones raised high, 13 well arranged goblets, 14 and arranged cushions 15 and carpets spread out. 16 Look they not at the camels, how they are created? 17 And at the heaven, how it is raised? 18 And the mountains, how they were fixed; 19 And the earth – how it has been spread out? 20 (Muhammad), preach; you are only a preacher. 21 thou art not charged to oversee them. 22 But whoever turns back and disbelieves, 23 him will God cause to suffer the greatest suffering [in the life to come]: 24 Certainly, it is to Us that they will return. 25 Then it will be for Us to call them to account. 26

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
