Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful

The excessive gathering (of increase and boasting) occupied you (from worshipping and obeying) 1 Till you reach the grave. 2 But you will come to know soon; -- 3 But you will soon come to know. 4 Nay! if you had known with a certain knowledge, 5 Indeed you will see hell. 6 Again, indeed you will see it with certainty. 7 Then, on that Day, you shall be asked about the delight (you indulged in, in this world)! 8

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
