Al-Naml 6 of 7
Those who do not believe, say: "When we and our fathers have turned to dust, how shall we be raised again? 67 We have certainly been promised this, we and our fathers before; these are naught but stories of the ancients 68 Say: "Go about through the earth and see what has been the end of the evil-doers." 69 But grieve not over them, nor distress thyself because of their plots. 70 And they say: When (will) this promise (be fulfilled), if ye are truthful? 71 Say: "Perhaps that which you wish to hasten on, may be close behind you. 72 Indeed your Lord is Most Munificent upon mankind, but most men do not give thanks. 73 And verily thine Lord knoweth whatsoever their breasts conceal and whatsoever they make known. 74 And there is nothing hidden in the heaven or the earth but it is in a clear Record. 75 Surely this Quran declares to the children of Israel most of what they differ in. 76 And verily it is a guidance and a mercy unto the believers. 77 Surely your Lord in His wisdom will decide between them. He is all-mighty and all-knowing. 78 So put thy trust in Allah: for thou art on (the path of) manifest Truth. 79 Indeed the dead* do not listen to your call nor do the deaf* listen to your call, when they flee turning back. (The dead and deaf implies the disbelievers.) 80 just as thou canst not lead the blind [of heart] out of their error; none canst thou make hear save such as [are willing to] believe in Our messages, and thus surrender themselves unto Us. 81 ۞ When the sentence will have been passed against them, We shall bring forth beastly brutes from the earth who will torment them, for men certainly do not believe Our signs. 82

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
