Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the (steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 by the strikers of fire, 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 Then thereby raise dust, 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 Verily man is unto his Lord ungrateful. 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 And indeed he is, in love of wealth, intense. 8 ۞ Is he not aware that when whatever lies (buried) in the graves is overthrown; 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 Verily their Lord on that Day will be of them Aware. 11
