Prostration (Al-Sajdah)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Alif. Lam. Mim. 1 (This is) the Revelation of the Book in which there is no doubt,- from the Lord of the Worlds. 2 and yet, they [who are bent on denying the truth] assert, "[Muhammad] has invented it!" Nay, but it is the truth from thy Sustainer, enabling thee to warn [this] people to whom no warner has come before thee, so that they might follow the right path. 3 It was Allah, who, in six days created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, and then willed to the Throne. You have no guardian nor intercessor other than Him. Will you not remember? 4 He directs all affairs from heaven to earth. Then all will again ascend to Him on a Day whose length is a thousand years by the way you measure. 5 Such is the Knower of the unseen and the seen, the Mighty, the Merciful. 6 who perfected everything He created. He originated the creation of the human from clay, 7 Then He made his offspring from semen of worthless water (male and female sexual discharge). 8 Then He moulded him; He breathed His Spirit into him; He gave you hearing, sight, and hearts. How seldom you are grateful! 9 And they say: What! when we have become lost in the earth, shall we then certainly be in a new creation? Nay! they are disbelievers in the meeting of their Lord. 10 ۞ Say: "The angel of death, who is set over you, will take your souls, then you shall be brought to your Lord." 11
