۞ By inspiration we told Moses: "Travel by night with my servants; for surely ye shall be pursued." 52 Then Pharaoh sent heralds to the cities (to mobilise troops) 53 'These' they said, 'are a small band, 54 And verily they have enraged us. 55 But we are a fully accounted army." 56 We deprived them (the unbelievers) of gardens, springs, 57 their treasures and their noble dwellings -- 58 Thus it was, but We made the Children of Israel inheritors of such things. 59 But they pursued them at sunrise. 60 When the two groups came close to each other, the companions of Moses said, "We will be caught". 61 (Moses) said: "By no means! my Lord is with me! Soon will He guide me!" 62 Thereupon We inspired Moses thus: Strike the sea with thy staff!" - whereupon it parted, and each part appeared like a mountain vast. 63 And We brought the others close to that place. 64 And We delivered Musa and those with him together. 65 But We drowned the others. 66 Surely there is a Sign in this, but most of them would not believe. 67 And verily, your Lord! He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 68
