Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ I swear by the Day of Resurrection 1 And I swear by the reproaching soul [to the certainty of resurrection]. 2 Deemest man that We shall not assemble his bones? 3 Yea! We are able to make complete his very fingertips 4 But man desires to continue in sin. 5 He asks: When is the day of resurrection? 6 But when sight is confounded 7 and the moon is eclipsed, 8 And the sun and moon will be joined together (by going one into the other or folded up or deprived of their light, etc.) 9 on that Day man will ask, "Where can I escape?" 10 Alas! No refuge! 11 The only place of refuge will be with God. 12 On that day, man will be informed of all what he sent ahead and left behind. 13 He shall be a clear proof against himself, 14 even though he offer his excuses. 15 O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), do not cause your tongue to move along with the Qur’an in order to learn it faster. 16 Verily upon us is the collecting thereof and the reciting thereof. 17 So, as We recite it, follow its reading. 18 Then it is for Us (Allah) to make it clear to you, 19 By no means! Verily ye love the Herein. 20 and are oblivious of the Hereafter. 21 Countenances on that Day shall be resplendent, 22 Looking towards their Lord; 23 And on that day some faces will be ghastly. 24 Thou wilt know that some great disaster is about to fall on them. 25 Yea, when (the soul) reaches to the collar-bone (in its exit), 26 and when it is asked: "Could any magician save him now?"; 27 He will then realise it is the parting, 28 And one shin will curl up with the other shin. 29 that will be the time to be driven to one's Lord. 30
