And the people of the Hijr (rocks) denied the Noble Messengers. 80 And We gave them Our signs, and they remained averse to them. 81 They used to hew out houses from the mountains and lived in security. 82 But the shriek seized them at early morning. 83 and that which they had earned did not help them. 84 And We have not created the heaven and the earth and that which is in between them save with a purpose. And verily the Hour is surely coming; so overlook thou with a seemly overlooking, 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator of all things, the Knowing. 86 And indeed We have given you seven verses that are repeated, and the great Qur’an. 87 Strain not thine eyes toward that which We cause some wedded pairs among them to enjoin, and be not grieved on their account, and lower thy wing (in tenderness) for the believers. 88 And say thou: verily I! I am a plain warner. 89 Such as We send down for those who make division, 90 Who have made the Qur'an into portions. 91 by your Lord, We shall question them all 92 For that which they have been working. 93 So shout that thou art commanded and turn thou away from the idolaters. 94 We will, surely, suffice you against those who mock, 95 Who set up along with Allah another god; presently they shall know. 96 And surely We know that your breast straitens at what they say; 97 But glorify your Lord with His praise, and prostrate yourself: 98 And serve thy Lord till the Inevitable cometh unto thee. 99
